I am an Assertive Logistician
According to a personality test @ 16 Personalities, I am profiled to be an Assertive Logistician – the most common personality in the entire population. 😲 As a matter of fact, I found some of the points to be fairly accurate and interesting. With this in mind, I thought of sharing 8 characteristics about me:
N.B. This following quotes are extracted from 16 Personalities and I take no credit for any of these points.
Honest and Direct
Integrity is the heart of the Logistician personality type.
First of all, I always enjoy tackling the problem directly rather than to beat around the bush. For instance, I have a tendency to speak upfront about something that is illogical, rather than to sugarcoat the entire concept. At the end of the day, solving the problem is more important than to curry favour someone. Of course, I have to admit that not everyone is able to handle facts directly.
Strong-willed and Dutiful
Working hard and staying focused on their goals.
In my previous post on how I spend my time every week, I believe that the amount of time I spend on work proves this point. However, I do not have a well-defined goal that I am working on. At the end of the day, it is all about working as hard as I can while I have the ability to do so. When the day comes for me to slow down the pace, I will not look back and regret my actions.
They fulfil their duties to the people and organisations they have committed themselves to.
With impeccable support from the company and the trust given by my clients, I believe this is the reason why I am still in the same (first) job after 8 years. Now, it is definitely difficult to leave this place and abandon all my clients from 10 countries around the world.
Calm and Practical
They keep their feet on the ground and make clear, rational decisions.
I have a tendency to take time to understand the situation and identify the problem before exhausting all the possible ways to resolve the issue. For example, I will do an in depth research on the type of camera to buy, its functions and technical specifications before finalising my decision.
Opinions are opinions and facts are facts.
Erm, is it true otherwise?
The facts are the facts, and Logisticians tend to resist any new idea that isn’t supported by them.
I know that I prefer to make rational decisions based on facts. In other words, I find it difficult to accept thoughts that are not supported by data or research.
Logistician personalities can competently tackle any project that comes with a manual.
The most recent example that I can think of is on how to operate a DSLR camera. In my life, I have never used a professional camera, much less to say to shoot in manual mode. After a couple of weeks of reading, I think I am fairly comfortable with it now. What do you think?

Typically trust themselves
I tend to be confident in everything that I do. And the secret behind my confidence is to be prepared (jack-of-all trades). For me, I know that by combining sufficient knowledge with accountable actions, they will always produce a desired outcome.
Let’s take insurance policy details for example. In most cases, I will prefer to read the contract repeatedly to fully understand the details. Ultimately, I take responsibility for the words that I say and the actions that I do.
What about You?
Alright, that is it – 8 points about me as an assertive logistician. If you are a regular reader of my blog or knows me personally, what do you think of these points? Are they accurate? And what is your personality type? Let me know in the comments section below.
